Quidditch

Quidditch is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. It’s a mixed gender sport with full-contact and low-contact rule sets comprising a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodge ball, and ultimate frisbee.

Physical fitness is an important part of a healthy lifestyle and quidditch brings sport and physical activity to a group of people who may not otherwise be inclined to get out and be active. Calgary’s quidditch community contains players coming from other sport backgrounds and players have never previously participated in sports. The Calgary Quidditch Club offers a safe space for adults and youth to get active and become more involved in their community!

Progression

Quidditch is an international sport with over 26 participant countries forming the International Quidditch Association, and a World Cup tournament every 2 years. There are 4 teams in Calgary, and over 20 across Canada. Levels of participation span from development to international level play.
